Man charged after gun, cocaine, cannabis, cash and mobile phones found

A man has been charged after officers found a gun, cocaine, cannabis, cash and mobile phones.

Paul Hodgkinson, 50, from Uttoxeter, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (cocaine), possession of a controlled drug of class B (cannabis/cannabis resin), being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possession of a firearm without a certificate.

It comes after officers stopped and searched the driver of a car in Penkridge on Sunday 31 August.

Members of our major and organised crime proactive team then stopped the driver of a car in Uttoxeter at 4pm on Thursday (16 October) and later visited an address in the town.

Hodgkinson appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday (18 October) where he was remanded in custody to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 21 November.
